We all know the old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words." How true!

Mr. Emoto has undertaken to study the effects of various stimuli on water crystals. He has exposed water to music, pictures and words to see how the crystalline structure is affected. These pictures have been collected into a book called "Messages from Water" and they reveal the truly miraculous workings of God. As the cover of the book states, "The messages from water are telling us to look inside ourselves."

Every thought we think, every word we say and every action we take, has tremendous effects on the universe around us. Even though we "know" this, it is still an electrifying experience to actually "see" an example of that effect. Mr. Emoto is showing us but one tiny example – the effect we have on the physical world – but we can certainly imagine from this, the effect we have on every level of existence.

What has been discovered is that beautiful music, pictures and words, causes water to form into beautiful crystal configurations. Looking at a water crystal that has been exposed to the word "thank you" is like looking at a stunning work of art. Such a crystal demonstrates symmetry, harmony, balance and perfection. On the other hand, a water crystal that has been exposed to harsh music or to verbal insults, refuses to form properly, but rather remains unformed, deformed or otherwise "handicapped." It shows holes, distortions, dispersions, implosions and is actually painful and distressing to look at.

Consider the Implications: the human body consists of 70% water. Beautiful words – words of appreciation, love, healing, good wishes, encouragement and praise – cause that water to be healthy, whole, fully developed. Negative words – insults, unpleasantness, negative expressions, references to evil or bad things (i.e. what's in the news) – causes that water to become unhealthy, deformed and destructured. Emoto found that commands ("do it") also affect water negatively and that cooperative expressions ("lets do it") lead to the formation of beautiful crystals. Since all water crystals that are exposed become affected in this way, both the body of the speaker and the body of the listener will be altered by the nature of the communication they are having.

A parent who calls a child "stupid" for example, is poisoning both his own body and the child's body at the same time. Anyone who is within hearing distance will also be affected. Even the water in the plants and in the cup on the kitchen counter, will be affected! And we are only considering the water here. It is quite likely that many other aspects of the human subtle energy body (the electromagnetic biofield or aura) and the energy field of the entire room, world, and universe, are similarly affected. The power of negative language is every bit as destructive as we have been warned. We can now get a glimpse of what its effects look like on the physical level.

Of course, kind words and blessings affect the water and everything else in exactly the opposite way. Beauty begets beauty. Love brings harmony into physical manifestation. This means that the power of speech is awesome! Each one of us can be a healer, using beautiful words to heal ourselves, our families, our communities, our planet and our universe.
