Dear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I implore you to hear my plea. CHILD, an Iranian American NGO I volunteer for, is working to put together a relief package for China. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Mrs. Sudabeh Shoja, we have an opportunity to seek UPS's assistance in delivering a select list of medical supplies requested by the Chinese Embassy, which you will find at the end of this post. We are currently in the process of working the logistics of this project, and time is of the essence.

However, before we undertake this effort, and it will be quite an effort, I am reaching out to those whom I believe can truly make a difference in our campaign. Personally I am hoping this can be one of many such efforts which, not only provide desperately needed supplies to a most desperate part of the world, but will also show the global community the commitment and dedication of Iranians to exemplify the true meaning of love thy neighbor.

These things I ask not for my self, but on behalf of women and children living in conditions that would drive you or I mad, yet on every interview smile and thank God they are alive. I could learn much from humbleness like that.

Please read the list of needed supplies provided by the Chinese Embassy, if you can provide, know of someone who can provide, would like to contribute in some way, let me know. It is true that no one of us is effective on his or her own, but together, we can accomplish anything, and what better way to start, then by giving. So please take this act to heart, reach out to your own friends and family, I bet the smallest prod, will bring you great reward, as all good deeds do.
