Tara's Babies is in dire need of your help. 15 dogs are about to be euthanized on February 16, 2008 and among them 9 healthy puppies who were left to die in a box tossed on the side of Hwy 67/167 North in Beebe, AR. Tara's Babies have had the good fortune of sponsorship for the boarding and the vetting fees. They now need foster angels in order to be able to save these dogs and future dogs.

Squirm - Male - Mixed: Estimated age 6 to 8 months. Super sweet and super squirmy, this boy simply cannot sit still if you are in sight. Once he reaches you, his back hits the ground as he anxiously awaits a belly rub. Very dog social and loves people


Luca - Male - Yellow Lab Mix: Estimated age is 1 and 1/2 to 2 years old. This very sweet boy has been at the shelter for three weeks and desperately attempts to use eye language to let you know how much he wants out of jail. Luca will follow you all around the shelter, never taking his eyes off you. He is both dog and people social and appears to have outgrown the hyper, "teen lab" stage


Treadmark - Male - Golden, Brindle Mix: Treadmark is currently the most laid back dog residing at the municipal shelter. This very calm, mellow boy is both dog social and affable with all people. Treadmark is estmated to be 1 year old.


Highway 31 - Male - Boxer/Hound X: Highway 31 is named after the road he had been spotted roaming on for a full moon cycle or two before arriving at the shelter. Photographed on intake, he was visibly tentative about his new surroundings. In general, this boy will come to you when coaxed but needs some "touch" therapy. Bottom line - skinny, starved and scared. Needs love and lots of it. Estimated age of 1 to 2 years.

The Dukes (and Duchesses) of Hazzard - Littre of 9 Mixed Pups: At an estimated age of 5.5 to 6 weeks old, these roly poly loves were discovered abandoned in a box on the side of 67/167 North, a highly traveled, 70 mile per hour limit highway flowing straight through Beebe, AR. Immediate donations for their booster shots are needed.

Absolutely stunning, adorable, loving babies that can't get enough attention, action and FOOD!!! We have one duchess wallflower (Sweet Pea) in the bunch but the rest can't get enough of people, especially children. They can hear you a mile away and will let you know how happy they are that you are near.

This group has already been wormed twice with Strongid, no apparent worms. It is clear that someone was caring for them prior to their harsh abandonment. They need a place to go and grow FAST!


Kika - Female - Black Lab (possible purebred): Estimated age of 1 and 1/2 to 2 years. This girl appears to have a minor tail injury that should be looked at by a vet. Kika is very energetic but not rambunctious. She is also clearly intelligent and observant. Very dog and people social. Picked up as a stray and has remained such. Needs immediate rescue and a vet exam on her tail. If you are interested in assisting Kika by donating toward an exam now, please contact Alexandra Palmo.


Jack and Diane - Siblings - Black Lab X Pups: Jack and Diane have gone from frying pan to frying pan. They were first brought to the Beebe Veterinary clinic for euthanization because their owners did not want them. Due to the vast quantity of unwanted black dogs, the owners' wishes were going to be granted. Through direct interference on our group's kennel director's part, their lives were spared that day and they were transferred over as Beebe AC wards. Now, they are up for euthanization (AGAIN). These 6 month old pups need OUT of the shelter and in to the life saving hands of rescue. Please help!
