Now that all three U.S. based horse slaughter plants are closed, we have one remaining hurdle to spare American horses from foreign dinner plates -- we must stop the exportation of horses to slaughter plants in Mexico and Canada.

HSUS just released new footage uncovering the cruelty of the Mexican horse slaughter industry and the utterly inhumane transportation methods used to ship horses to Mexican slaughterhouses.

Congress needs to act swiftly to pass the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (H.R. 503/S. 311) and end the export of American horses for human consumption!

Your voice for horses is critical. Here's what you can do: Check to see if your US Representative is already a co-sponsor of H.R. 503 and if your two US Senators are co-sponsors of S. 311.
