Tara's babies is a no-kill shelter. They provide safe heavens for at-risk dogs, cats and exotic birds; medical/surgical services, lifelong sanctuary for abused and abandoned exotic companion birds, adoption services, lifelong sanctuary for dogs and cats unable to be adobted and have a professional trainer who works with those who are traumatized, aggressive, etc. They saved 130 dogs in Katrina disaster and only have 8 remaining from that group. They will keep them and love them for the remainder of their lives.

A few days ago, they saved 11 dogs that were to be euthanized on October 2nd and need your donations desperately to expand their facilities. They have the land, but not yet the buildings and staff to do a large shelter. They also need foster families here in DC Metropolitan area.
