Penguins feel the heat too
The March of the Penguins is underway because their home is starting to melt. Global warming is pushing penguins further south in Antarctica, and their migration is now threatening the food supply of the whales, seals, birds and large fish in the regions they are starting to occupy.
The United States is the top global warming polluter in the world. We have a unique responsibility to take action and stop global warming now. To do this, we need a president who will combat global warming and usher in a new era of clean energy.
The list of wildlife species threatened by global warming is growing. Polar bears are already suffering and may become endangered from melting of the sea ice they depend on for survival. Manatee habitat in shallow coastal areas could disappear due to rising sea levels. And now penguins are migrating and threatening the food chain because their home is starting to melt.
Let's make sure the presidential candidates know we're serious about global warming, and that we expect them to be, too - sign the Heat Is On Petition today!
